MLK Weekend of Action

“The time is always right to do what is right” –MLK Jr.

OACS invites you to join the Vanderbilt community in a weekend of action and reflection as we honor the contributions of Dr. King in seeking justice and challenging the discourse on civil (dis)obedience. This year we will also honor the contributions of Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela as an example of justice and equality worldwide.  Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to join us for projects that address specific community needs through intentional service and action.

Join Vanderbilt as we explore in action the various ways in which those questions are being answered, and sign up to lead a project now! Projects are often student-led and connect with community partners to address local needs.  If you would like help in planning a project, please connect with us! Email, call 615-343-7878, or stop by Rand 305 anytime.
Project registration will end on December 5th and participant registration will begin December 9th.

Please click on the "Forms" tab on this page to find project registration and project sign-ups.
